For the rhythms that shape the world - and you.
Welcome to The Almanac.
A living library for the rhythms that shape the natural world… and the perspectives that come from living with them.
An almanac has always been a book you consult. You open it when you want to know what's happening in the sky, what to plant, when to rest, when to begin. This one is no different, only the reference goes both outward and inward: the moon overhead and the moon in your chart, the season in the garden and the season you're in.
Here you'll find the foundations - the moon phases, the astrological seasons, the four elements, the sabbats, and the practical work of growing things. You'll also find writing on living: the things I've come to believe about moving through life this way, said plainly. Most of it is evergreen. It's meant to be returned to, not consumed once and forgotten.
If you're looking for timely seasonal essays - the weekly thinking that follows the sky and the soil - those live on my Substack, Her Wild Wonder. The Almanac holds the reference and the stance. Substack holds the week.
Wander in wherever feels right.
